Cloudshine Global Music creates original music for independent distribution and provides physical CD distribution and downloads through most of the major music download services. It owns its own recording studio staffed with Grammy nominated and Platinum and Gold Record winning producers, engineers, mixers and masterers. Additionally, Cloudshine Global Music promotes its music and artists through its own merchandising and marketing department. The company also places its music in TV and film projects, commercials, covers by established major artists, and other outlets.

The company is dedicated to the preservation of high quality album oriented music aimed at baby boomers who still purchase CDs as opposed to (the often illegal) downloads and who are familiar with the concept of the record album where all the tracks are potential hits and the idea of the album as a conceptual entity is still important. Management believes this can be accomplished by strong melodic content coupled with solid lyrics that support the melodic line.
